Traci Mitchell was nominated and selected as Tracy Unified School District's Outstanding Management Employee for the Spring Term of the 2021-22 school year. Traci was hired in December of 2013 and is currently Principal of DR Community Day School and Stein High School.
While Traci has been Principal, Stein has received the prestigious California's Distinguished School Award, but perhaps more importantly, she finds ways to transform school culture, develop shared culture, and create systems that promote individual accountability and success for students.
Her work with at-risk students in Tracy is exemplary. Her incredible work ethic is demonstrated by putting in round-the-clock attention and service for students during Summer School. She gives students grace as they work to complete their diplomas. She is always wearing a smile, even when dealing with challenging situations.
Mrs Mitchell is an amazing educator and professional and very deserving of this award.
The District is proud to present her the award for Outstanding Management Employee for the Spring Term 2021-22.
